When the rivers overflow in Punjab, it is not just water that spreads across the land – it is pain, fear, and loss. The Punjab floods 2025 have once again washed away not only homes but also the fragile trust of the people. Families are standing on broken roads, staring at empty fields where their crops once grew, holding on to their children and livestock, wondering how they will survive the coming days.
But what hurts the most is not just the flood — it is the silence that follows.
In 2023, Punjab faced a similar disaster. That year too, there were big promises made. Many came forward on social media, creating videos, making loud announcements that they would help, promising that relief would reach every home. But after the cameras were turned off and the likes and views were counted, very little real help reached the villages. Government support was almost invisible, and those who claimed to stand with the people vanished when it was time for real action. Thousands of families were left alone, with no food, no shelter, and no hope.
Today, in 2025, it feels like history is repeating itself. The floods have returned, and so has the pain. Families affected by the flood in Punjab are once again left to fight for survival. The overflowing rivers of Punjab have taken away cattle, houses, grain, and dreams. This is not just about water entering homes – this is about livelihoods being wiped out overnight. This is about mothers not knowing how to feed their children and farmers watching their animals, their only source of income, die helplessly.
At Serve Humanity Serve God Charitable Trust, we cannot stay silent when we see this suffering. Our team of Punjab flood volunteers has been on the ground from the very first day of the disaster. We have been rescuing people stranded in water, providing food to the hungry, and caring for animals who have been left behind. We believe that animal welfare in disaster situations is just as important as feeding people – because for many families, a cow or buffalo is the only way they can rebuild their lives once the water recedes.
But we cannot do this alone. We are trying our best to arrange food packets, medicines, and safe shelter, but the need is much bigger than what we can fulfill alone. This is where your donation becomes life-saving.
How Can You Help – Why Your Support Matters More Than Ever
When you donate for Punjab, you don’t just give money — you give a family a chance to live again. You give dignity to parents who can feed their children. You give strength to farmers who can restart their work. You give hope to an entire village.
Here’s how your support makes a real difference:
- Sponsor a Cow or Buffalo → Help a family rebuild their livelihood with a steady source of milk and income.
- Sponsor Diesel → Fuel tractors and machines to clear debris, transport relief materials, and rebuild homes.
- Sponsor Relief Funds → Provide food, fodder, medicines and winter essentials to flood-affected families in Punjab.
Every single contribution becomes a lifeline.
